We don't believe in vanity numbers.
We believe in numbers that mean something.

In 2025, Anchor became a licensed Microfinance Bank. 🎊
Becoming an MFB raised the bar for how we build — from compliance and governance to the reliability businesses expect when they trust us with their money.

Together, these licenses strengthened our foundation and expanded what we can responsibly support at scale.

2025 marked
1096
DAYS
of building, learning, fixing, and growing.
But behind every number was a moment:
a launch day, a payday,
a business crossing borders for the first time.
This wasn't growth for growth's sake.
This was momentum, earned — and responsibility accepted.
2025 was a year of intentional product expansion — not rushed features, but thoughtful launches designed to unlock real outcomes for builders. The year we doubled down on durability.

Anchor Cards: USD Virtual Cards for Global Spending
In 2025, we introduced Anchor Cards, starting with USD virtual cards designed to help businesses and individuals pay globally without friction.
Anchor Cards enables businesses to issue and manage virtual USD cards that work across multiple countries and online merchants, making it easier for their users to pay for software subscriptions, global services, and international expenses.
This unlocks simplified cross-border spending, eliminates reliance on complex FX sourcing, and centralises control and visibility over USD payments, all within the Anchor platform.

Business Banking | Payments | Embedded Banking
We started the year by rethinking how businesses experience Anchor. We re-organised our services into three clear programs, each built for a specific job:
Business Banking - to hold and move your company's money.
Payments - to collect payments and make payouts at scale.
Embedded Banking - to build banking products for your own customers.
Each program now creates and uses the right kind of accounts for its purpose. That means banking accounts stay focused on operations, payment accounts are optimized for collections and reconciliation, and embedded banking supports customer-facing use cases without overlap.
The result is a platform that's easier to understand, behaves more predictably, and scales more cleanly as your business grows. Your team and customers see fewer edge cases, clearer account behaviour, and infrastructure that finally matches how they actually use financial services.

Infrastructure only matters when it's used at scale. This year, teams built real products on Anchor, reaching real usersacross borders.

Helping African vendors pay suppliers in China, manage deliveries, and move money seamlessly.
How Anchor showed up: Virtual accounts, naira collections, and smoother cross-border flows.

Enabling Egyptian users to access the global internet through secure virtual USD cards.
How Anchor showed up: Fast card issuance, local infrastructure, and weeks-to-launch execution.

Through live sessions, founders and operators unpacked the realities of cross-border payments.
For those who missed it, the conversation continues on YouTube.

We published a practical guide to launching fintech products, grounded in experience, not theory, covering infrastructure choices, compliance, and what actually scales.
Anchor appeared across leading media as a trusted infrastructure partner, shaping how financial products are built.
These stories are proof that when builders move, ecosystems move too.

From Lagos to global stages, 2025 took Anchor into rooms where ideas were exchanged, futures debated, and partnerships formed.

We came to listen. To learn.
To meet the people we build for.
We launched the Developer Spotlight Series to celebrate the engineers powering Africa's fintech future.
Our pilot featured Ayomide Brown (Suplias), sharing the real story behind building, breaking, experimenting, and winning with Anchor APIs.
Because infrastructure is nothing without the people who dare to build on it.

Beyond code and contracts, we invested in connection.
Beyond products, we doubled down on relationships.
relaxed evenings of real conversations, shared lessons, and genuine connection.

2025 was also a year of growth in every sense.

2025 wasn't just a recap.
It was a foundation.
For bigger launches.
Deeper trust.
And the kind of infrastructure the world deserves.
See you in the next chapter.
